Chicken Salad Recipes

There are plenty of things that you can do to avoid eating a boring chicken salad.  A chicken salad doesn't always have to consist of the usual lettuce, tomatoes, boiled chicken and ranch dressing.  To make an optimal salad for both nutrition and enjoyment, it is easy to add your favorite herbs and spices, select cheeses, and many other fruits and vegetables.  Furthermore, chicken salad doesn't take that long to make.  All you need to do is chop, toss and serve.  Here are three chicken salad variations that are sure to be enjoyed by every member of your family:

Chicken Caesar Surprise

Ingredients:

2 heads Romaine lettuce
1/3 cup Olive oil or vegetable oil
4 Grilled chicken breasts pieces
2 Tbs. Parmesan cheese
2 Tbs. Romano cheese
Caesar salad dressing
Italian styled croutons
1/2 tsp. Creole seasoning
2 Large apples (peeled)
Your favorite herbs

Directions:
Step 1: Chop the Romaine lettuce, grilled chicken, and apples into bite-size pieces.

Step 2: Toss the chopped pieces into a mixing bowl.

Step 3: Place the remaining ingredients into the mixing bowl and then toss the ingredients.

Step 4: Serve and enjoy.


Fruity Chicken Salad

Ingredients:

3 Cooked bacon (crumbled)
4 Chicken breasts (boiled)
2 heads Romaine lettuce
1/2 cup Raisins
4 Mandarin oranges (peeled)
Blue cheese crumbles (Optional)
1/2 Cup Shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Your favorite salad dressing
Your favorite herbs and spices


Directions:

Step 1: Chop romaine lettuce and chicken. 

Step 2: Pull the oranges apart into wedges.

Step 3: Add all ingredients into mixing bowl.

Step 4: Toss, serve and enjoy.


Walnut Raisin Chicken Salad

Ingredients:

4 slices Wheat flower fried chicken breast

1 head Butter lettuce
1 head Iceberg lettuce
2 Tbs. Sharp cheddar cheese

2 large Apples (sliced into wedges)

1/2 cup Cucumbers
2 Hot house tomatoes
1/2 cup Raw broccoli

1/2 cup Carrots (diced)
1/2 cup Raisins

1/2 cup Walnuts

Pepper

Your favorite herbs and spices
Your favorite salad dressing
 
Step 1: Chop up romaine lettuce, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, broccoli, and friend chicken, and then toss into mixing bowl. 

Step 2: Place remaining ingredients into mixing bowl and toss.

Step 3: Add all ingredients into mixing bowl and toss.

Step 4: Serve and enjoy.
